The book is split up into two sections, the first containing a number of chapters written by Nancy Friday - short essays really on things like separating love and sex, and "the nice girl rules" which is particularly interesting. The second main part of the book covers the fantasies which women have written in with, and there are three chapters here - the first deals with seductive, sadistic or sexually controlling women, the second, with women/women fantasies, and the third with women who feel themselves to be insatiable - one woman, many fantasies, and group sex. It's often very arousing to read other people's fantasies, and this book is no different in that respect. I'm sure many people who have bought it, (me included) did so for the thrill factor - but there is more to it that this - there is a courage and a freedom to this piece of collective writing which, as the cover says, marks a milestone is how far women's sexual liberation has come.
