Configuring ViewPoint with Microsoft SQL Server 2000.pdf ebook Many customers inquire whether Viewpoint will work with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 (MS SQL Server). Viewpoint can be configured to run with MS SQL Server, but SonicWALL does not provide any technical support for this configuration. Due to the number of inquiries, this document is provided only as a courtesy to our advanced SQL Server savvy customers that want to use this configuration. This document presents a procedure to remove the MSDE database from Viewpoint and configure it to use a new MS SQL 2000 Server database. The procedure in this document shows how to configure a Viewpoint with a new MS SQL database. The procedure does not include import of existing data from the existing MSDE database. SonicWALL will not provide any support to migrate data from MSDE to MS SQL. Note: Ensure you apply the latest patch/service-pack to the SQLServer 2000 installation. There are known issues with the unpatched version of SQLServer 2000.
