Power up the router and plug the blue network cable from the network card on your PC to one of the four LAN ports on the back of the router.
Make sure your PC is set to obtain an IP automatically. For Windows XP, go to "Start" then "All Programs", "Accessories", "Communications" and click on "Network Connections". Right click on your "Local Area Connection" and select "Properties" from the menu.
